The other of the "Service" Sacraments, Holy Orders, confer on a man ordained to the priesthood, the faculties to celebrate the Sacraments with the Faithful as their pastoral leader. This includes offering Mass, hearing Confession, Anointing the Sick, Blessing a Marriage, Baptizing, and, when elevated as a Bishop, conferring Holy Orders and Confirming a Candidate for Confirmation. Deacons also receive Holy Orders and witness marriages, perform baptisms, preside over funeral and burial services outside Mass, distribute the Holy Communion, and preach the homily. Deacons and priests are expected to pray daily Liturgy of the Hours.
